Bunraku Fliers by tgcsilver Bunraku Fliers by tgcsilver
To compliment my Storm Gundam, I created three weapons packs and developed them into AI-operated mobile armors called "Bunrakus." In combat, they assist the Storm and offer cover-fire during transformations. Each Bunraku shifts the Storm's armor upon contact. Its defense against one type of attack improves while it weakens against another attack style.

The end result is that the Sword Storm Gundam can better resist beam blades while exposed to greater danger from long range bombardment. The Blast Storm Gundam can handle a barrage better than most MS, but a beam saber can cause double the damage. The Star Storm Gundam is the median of the two, possessing no specific advantage, but no weakness at the same time.

The three Bunrakus are (from left to right): Hira-Raku, Raum-Raku, Tals-Raku.

So the Sword Storm Gundam is the blue one on the left, the Star Storm is the one in the middle, and the Blast Storm is the one on the right correct?

I gotta say I love the designs for the Sword and Blast Storm Gundams, their designs look epic and original and I'd love to see closeups of both of them in more detail! However, the Star Storm is kinda less impressive since it looks so much like the Strike, which in turn is modeled after the first Gundam, a trend most main character gundams tend to follow unfortunately. Don't get me wrong, I love the original Gundam and many of its successors like Wing Zero and Exia, but after so many series it gets kinda old and predictable when the main hero's gundam always looks like a variation of the classic Gundam. No offense to you or your work, you did a really good job on the Star Storm Gundam, I just wish it at least had a different paint job or something so it would stand out more and be more unique (but thats just my personal preference).

Oh, and the Bunrakus are AWESOME, I love all three of them, they serve they same role as the old Ghouls from Gundam Seed but they're so much cooler looking! They remind me of the Bakus, which were probably my fave non-Gundam mobile suits from that series.

Hopefully in a good way. This Gundam is intended to be the Impulse's successor, so I hope that the resemblance works.

dont take it the wrong way, but i like the impulse better

plus, i always thought that the destiny was the Impulses successor, because i feel it is all three impulses wrapped up into one.

That's cool.

The Destiny was indeed three wrapped into one, but somehow it never gripped me. I felt like it was lacking a distinctive feature, even though it had those special wings.

Wow.......these are awesome....I love the design ideas. I've been looking for something like this for quite a while now. Would you mind at all if I featured this design in a fic I might be writing soon?
